Transformers director Michael Bay, has confirmed that we will be seeing Megatron once again in Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen, the sequel to 2007's blockbuster, Transformers.

Apparently
Hugo Weaving, who voiced the character in the first installment "let the cat out of the bag" while talking to a reporter for an Australian magazine, The Advertiser, in the article he stated that he has already recorded his dialogue for the movie, and he's "given out the secret scoop".

Bay who was hoping to keep it all secret had to confirm the rumors after Weaving spilled the beans, he had this to say: "Okay cat is out of the bag.
Megatron is back - but you will only get to see him from the long lost past. We go way back in time as this movie explains the mythology of the Primes. He is not a tank like everyone suggests, but an alien vehicle. But sadly he does not have has much screen time."

So there you have it, a flashback with
Megatron, yay.

I never really liked Megatron, though an iconic character from the toys, and cartoon, his days on the big screen ended in the first movie - it's time to move on to bigger and better things.

Its official, People magazine is confirming that Dakota Fanning is set to star as Jane - in the next installment in the Twilight saga, New Moon. Filming starts next month in Vancouver, with a November release date. According to People's source, the next two installments (including New Moon) are going to be filmed back to back, which should prove to be quite difficult considering how early New Moon is set to hit theaters. "We did just get a script. We're shooting the rest of the films back to back," says Nikki Reed, who plays Rosalie Hale in the film."

I'm sure Ms. Fanning will add some nice star power to the franchise, not that it's really needed, but shes a more than capable actress and can only be a benefit to the film.

Earlier this week we reported that Summit Entertainment announced a release date for Eclipse - the third film in the Twilight saga. Well now Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Summit is in talks with Drew Barrymore and "a select group of directors' to take on the project. This seems fitting due to the outcry from fans when it was announced Catherine Hardwicke would not be returning for New Moon, and was to be replaced by a male director (Chris Weitz). The real question is why Barrymore? To date she has no released material as a director, although her production company Flower Films was responsible for Donnie Darko - which is quite noteworthy. Barrymore's directorial debut entitled "Whip It!" doesn't have a US release date yet - so we really can't say if she has the chops or not.

Summit has been quite busy this week so we'll keep you posted if any new developments unveil.

Ok ok I know its called Eclipse relax. According to Variety, Summit Entertainment has given Eclipse - the third movie in the Twilight franchise a release date of June 30, 2010. That's only seven months after New Moon is supposed to be released.

Melissa Rosenberg is adapting a screenplay from Stephenie Meyer's novel, which is about Edward and Bella investigating a murder they suspect a vampire of committing.

Twilight 2 sorry.. New Moon begins production soon and hits theaters this November with new director Chris Weitz.

Four Watchmen clips have been released, most with never before seen footage. There is an ongoing joke that Snyder uses too much slow motion in his movies, and it's clear he's doing so in Watchmen, regardless I am so pumped for this movie and these clips got me even more excited.
Here's all four for you to enjoy.

Sort of.. The Governator himself has just signed on to do a one day shoot cameo in Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables, thus finally uniting the two has-been action stars on the same screen. Arnie joins an already stellar line up that includes Jason Statham, Jet Li, Mikey Rourke, and Dolf Lundgren (I know I laughed too). The movie is about a group of mercenaries that go on a death mission to kill some dictator, things probably go wrong and yadda yadda yadda, stuff blows up. Fair formula for Sly. The script is going through it's final revisions but shooting is set to begin in a month.

Side Shot: I came across this little gem of a site while finding a suitable image for the post, here is Craig Zablo's StalloneZone .

In the most recent Transformers 2 trailer, we see a large Decepticon attack Optimus Prime near the end, well it turns out that massive robot is just a piece of Devastator. Yeah that's right I said just a piece of it. Hasbro has leaked an image of the Devastator action figure: (click for full res)

It's kind of hard to grasp the scale of this sucker in a picture, let alone a picture of a toy, but it gives us a rough idea of how he might look in the movie. I personally hope he looks a lot better in the movie because this thing looks like a construction site frankenstein.

Song of the Year: Coldplay, "Viva la Vida"
Best Rock Song: Bruce Springsteen, "Girls in Their Summer Clothes"
Best Metal Performance: Metallica, "My Apocalypse"

Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance: John Mayer, "Gravity"

Best Song Written for Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media: Peter Gabriel and Thomas Newman, "Down to Earth" (From Wall-E)
Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media: Juno

Okay so the winners were quite predictable seeing as the Grammy's seem to dictate talent based on how much money they make.  I think the only surprise here is Plant and Krauss getting Album of The Year. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed Raising Stand, but in my opinion Viva La Vida was definitely the choice. It really is a shame that Lil Wayne is getting all this acclaim, i consider his music to be joke rap.  Zimmer and Howard getting best score was a no brainer, I think this year was the first time I saw a movie score on the top 10 list of iTunes when Dark Knight came out. What I really don't understand is how Juno got best compilation soundtrack. The music from that movie was, well only listenable in the context of the movie, the songs were "quirky" and "odd" hardly the attributes of a grammy winning album.

All in all it was a fairly predictable Grammy's as usual, what have we learned this year? If you want an award, make sure you make a crap load of money, so that when you get the award you can make a crap load more.

A clip has surfaced online this weekend of Michael Cera pulling a Bale on the set of his upcoming movie Youth in Revolt. Though its quite funny, it's all a publicity stunt, and a parody of the recent antics of The Dark Knight. Heres the clip:

FSR has just posted some new still images from Crank 2: High Voltage. Now let me say I was not a fan of the first, if anything it made me dizzy. But after seeing the red band trailer (which has since been removed) this one has my interest slightly more than the first so far. The images don't really say much, other then this movie should prove to be quite ridiculous - but hopefully a lot of fun.

Crank 2: High Voltage Stars Jason Statham and Amy Smart. Opens April 17, 2009.
